Welcome to Cape May Wildwood
Cape May and Wildwood New Jersey offer some of the safest beaches, lodging and family entertainment on the east coast of the United States. Wildwood is divided into three distinction secitions, Wildwood proper at the center of the island, Wildwood Crest at the lower half of the island and North Wildwood. Wildwood proper is where the boardwalk and most of your stores are located. North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest is more family oriented with lots of hotels, motels and other lodging near the beach.
Cape May is a Victorian family oriented place to visit. A bit more pricey when compared to Wildwood but worth it. Beach front hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts line the concrete boardwalk called the prominade. Washington Street has been converted into a pedestrian walk way with stores, restaurants, ice cream and all sorts of gift shops.
Cape May Point is home to Sunset Beach. Every evening during the regular season there is a flag lowering ceremony. Each flag flown at Sunset Beach was a coffin flag for one of many veterans. This is the only place we know of that fly’s coffin flags only. Don’t forget to visit their Sunset Beach Grille, search for Cape May Diamonds and browse through their gift shop.
